Macau in a nutshell

Macau is an administrative region of China that is best known for its megacasinos and hotels. Unless you’re in for some serious gambling, tourists who’d come over usually take a day trip or two just to check out a few beautiful historical landmarks. With only half a million in total population, you can already imagine how small Macau is. These are the places you shouldn’t miss on your next trip to the “Vegas of the East“.
RUINS OF ST. PAUL
Welcome to the most popular landmark of Macau! I already lost count on how many times I’ve stepped in here and yet the volume of people remains the same; Always packed and never dull until dawn.
SAN MALO / SENADO SQUARE
With an imprint of the past Portuguese occupants, San Malo is not just an ideal place in taking your next touristy shot, it is also a place for dining in local restaurants and shopping for your next souvenir.
MACAU TOWER
Every country has its iconic tower. And this one in Macau is made extra special because it caters to the world’s highest tower bungee.  If you want to take your trip on a next level, go on and try the tower’s amenities which also include movie theaters, a 360 degree observation deck, a skywalk, and a revolving restaurant all with an unobstructed view. How lovely would it be to gaze at the panorama of the city while binge eating on your sumptuous buffet meal?
HOTELS and CASINOS
What is Macau without the gigantic industry of hotels and casinos?
Here’s to name a few:
Wynn Macau
WYNN PALACE

wpwp1

Venetian
MGM
Lisboa
 Galaxy
TRANSPORTATION
Spend on zero dollar by taking the complimentary buses back and forth to each of these hotels from the airport or the ferry terminal.
INDOOR ACTIVITIES
There are plenty of things to do but my personal favorites are:
The House of Magic in Studio City
The House of Dancing Water
in City of Dreams
NIGHTLIFE
Over the top bars and clubs are a normal Macau scene. But if you are visiting for a short getaway and won’t be able to explore much, here’s my recommendation:
SKY21 in AIA Tower
Cubic Club in City of Dreams
SMLXL
FOOD

Never miss the famous egg tarts and pork bun

HAVE YOU VISITED MACAU? WHAT WAS YOUR FAVOURITE THING TO DO IN THIS VIBRANT CITY?
